Oh leaf you are so green and true,
The sunlight shines and brightens you.
But you my friend are temporary
And my poem for you, contemporary.
For you turn shades or orange, yellow, brown,
As you catch the breeze, fall to the ground.
Yet what happens on your journey from here?
You mix with dirt and disappear.
A silent life, so sweet, so short.
A poem translated form a thought.
